 In creating this range of pure synthetic brushes we apply the same skills, generated over 100 years, as those used in making the finest sable brushes. The secret of the Cotman Brush lies in the fibres, by blending synthetic fibres of different thickness we achieve the three most important qualities sought after by the artist. The thicker fibres contribute strength and spring whilst the thinner fibres improve colour holding capacity. Together they retain a perfect point, time after time.

A wide range of sizes and styles to suit all applications is available giving most of the qualities of sable at an economic price. The range features blue polished handles and seamless nickel plated ferrules. Suitable for use with water colour and all water and oil based media.

Series 111: Designed specifically for use with water colour and water based medis, these round headed brushes have good colour carrying capacity and hold a sharp point. A wide range of sizes are available in this poular series.

Series 222: As with Series 111 these brushes are suitable for use with all forms of water based media. They posses an elongated head shape, which gives an extra fine point and greater colour holding capacity, which is more suitable for designers.

Series 333 Rigger: The longest thinnest round watercolour brush, excellent for continuous fine lines e.g. tree trunks and branches.

Series 666 One Stroke: Designed specifically for one stroke and lettering work, these brushes possess good spring and colour holding capacity.

Series 667 S/H Angle:

Series 777 One Stroke, Clear Handle: Similar to Series 666 these wash brushes have tranparent handles with bevelled ends, which can be used for burnishing, scraping, or as a palette knife.
